Here's an example of my latest newsletter.
I use Microsoft Word and a set template. I use the clipart at Phillip Martin's Website, which is FREE. The pencil at the top can be changed with Paint to reflect your personal contact information. You can download the template at my TpT store here.
Do you use a classroom newsletter? How often do you write them?
My school sends out a weekly newsletter, so I just send home a coversheet with students' papers attached. I tried the newsletter format but found the students weren't taking it home...and it's a lot of extra work.

Fabulous 4th Grade
The newsletter is a lot of work, but then I have a CYA when parents say "I didn't know Johnny had to complete a monthly project that was due yesterday."
ReplyDeleteHeather you are awesome and I wish I could be as good as you to get a newsletter out that frequently! Great design!

One Teacher's Take
When I student taught, I did a weekly newsletter too. I would sent a hard copy home with the students and then email a PDF version to the parents so I didn't have to bother with "my child never gave it to me". I like using weekly newsletters because it keeps me on tabs on what to prepare for the next week. Thanks for sharing, I love the clip art! BTW, I'm a new follower! :)

I never quite got a newsletter going, but I love the idea of it. Excited to check out Philip Martin's clip art.
